Multiple Profile DNA Match Graphs

Multiple profile graphs combine the match and in-common-with relationships for more than one profile in a single graph, giving you a more complete view of the DNA matches relevant to your research.

Multiple profile graphs can be prepared for:
  • Full siblings
DNA matches and relationships for any number of full siblings can be included in one graph.
  • Close family
Addition of half-siblings, aunts and uncles, a parent, grandparent or other close family member (first cousin or closer) can help sort out which side of the family a DNA match may descend from.
  • Extended family
Combine data from more distant relations, or include more relationships for colour coding. Charts can be filtered to exclude categories of matches, allowing you to focus on the branch of interest.
Please contact me before ordering an extended family graph to confirm that the desired work is feasible.

With each close or extended family order you will receive a high resolution PDF graph colour coded by relationship. This is in addition to the files and reports returned for a single profile chart.

For a multiple profile graph the enhanced match spreadsheet neatly summarises the match and network graph details for all included profiles in one spreadsheet. No more jumping from profile to profile to compare results!

Do you have another idea about how you'd like to combine or mark up your data? Ask me about it!

Full Sibling Graphs

Picture
Two profiles are better than one! Sibling 1 matches are green, sibling 2 matches are orange. Only the purple matches are shared by both siblings. Combining two sibling profiles has created a more complete picture of the matching groups than a separate chart for each sibling could.
Unless they're identical, siblings don't share all the same DNA. Each sibling inherits a different mix from their parents. It follows that they don't share all the same DNA matches.

A combined siblings chart brings together the DNA matches for two or more full siblings. This provides a more complete view of the relationships between matches, and reduces the mental toil of trying to compare matches across profiles.

Combine the match results for any number of full siblings in one graph.

Close family graph
Simple combinations of close relatives,
colour coded

With a close family graph you get all the usual files, plus an additional PDF graph that is colour coded according to the profiles each match shares.

A close family graph can combine profiles for first cousins and closer, with up to three colour codes. For example, a colour for people who match full siblings, half-siblings (one side), or both full and half-siblings.

Example graph
DNA matches for two siblings and their father are included in this example graph.

It's easy to spot clusters that are probably paternal, or probably maternal. Linkages between paternal and maternal clusters, where more caution is warranted, are also visible.

Extended Family Graph
More complex combinations, colour coded

Please contact me to discuss your requirements before ordering an Extended Family Graph

With an Extended Family Graph you get all the usual files, plus an additional PDF graph that is colour coded according to the profiles each match shares. These graphs go further than the close family graphs - more distant relatives can be included, more relationships marked up, and graphs can be trimmed down to focus on the area of interest.

Some possibilities...
A single person or any number of full-siblings plus...

One maternal grandparent and two paternal aunts:
Would allow preliminary allocation to branches for a large proportion of matching groups.

People who match in common with both a set of siblings and their second cousins,
graph trimmed to the shared matches (plus two degrees of separation):
Identify matches for focused research based around one set of great-grandparents.

Maternal and paternal half-siblings:
Add power to maternal/paternal side allocation where there are half siblings.
